Service Manager in Wilmington, DESupervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment, customer and Company owned.Dispatches and/or manages others who dispatch road techs to customer locations, manages shop technicians & follows up as needed until work is completed and invoiced.Manages and controls WIP to eliminate work orders over 20 days.Formulates estimates for internal and external customers as needed.Responsible for all staffing concerns including, but not limited to, recruitment, training and evaluations as well as providing and maintaining a safe work environment.
Requisitions recommendations for tools, equipment, and supplies.Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications and standards.Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.Maintains time and production records.Works with rental coordinators to meet demands of equipment needed on a daily basis.Assist in the growth of customer business by proactive calling, follow up calls and proper billing practices.
College/Trade School and or equivalent experience required. Math aptitude for calculation of discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance/procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Must be able to multi-task and make timely decisions.
